280 Park Avenue’s Dramatic Redevelopment
280 Park Avenue has experienced the most dramatic and noticeable renovation for any building on Park Avenue over the past 10 years. The redevelopment by Vornado and SL Green of the 1.2 million square foot complex, was a successful joint venture by two of the largest U.S. REITs. The $180 million renovation has paid off according to Crains. The building had a dated lobby and facade. It’s dramatic lobby required an overhaul.
Hedge Fund Sublease
The office space features a grand reception area, shower and work out area, 3 conference rooms, 6 offices, 2 phone rooms and open area for up to 23 positions. Furniture is included. The sublease is on the 3rd floor and is 7,560 RSF. The sublease expires June, 2022. Other features include a stone reception with sheetrock ceilings, and entrance directly off the elevator.
Four Seasons Restaurant
The building will also house the iconic Four Seasons Restaurant formerly located at 375 Park Avenue on June 16th. The Four Seasons has been a fixture at the Seamgram Building and been a major draw for power lunches by corporate titans, and private equity execs. Esteemed architects, Philip Johnson and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe designed the original restaurant. The new restaurant set to be opened in 2017. The interior will be designed by Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld.
